Skewby rounded up the opening acts for Kendrick Lamar that night and was better then I expected under the circumstances he was facing. The crowd was getting restless and wanted Kendrick to come on. Skewby went out there not giving a f**k, and had the crowd live as hell. “LaLa” is my favorite Skewby song and was excited to hear it live. He also brought some copies of his mixtape “More or Less” and I caught one thrown into the crowd. All the people around me were asking how to spell “Skewby” and what the name of his mixtape was so you know he impressed the crowd. Come back to South Florida some time. - HHSO

While out in Atlanta for A3C, I caught up with Memphis’ own Skewby. We talk about what he’s been working on, 9th Wonder handling some production duties on his next project, producing vs rapping, the current state of hip-hop, and more. Skewby is certainly one of the most talented upcoming artists, keep an eye on him as his journey throughout music is steady growing. - AO
